Rhine Ruhr Pumps and Valves have in-house technicians trained in Germany with the skills and experience to coat our customers equipment with the patented SIConit. We have the capability to repair and coat out clients pump Impellers, back plates, pump casings and actuator blades.

THE COMPANY

SICcast® constructs, produces and coats parts subject to strong erosion corrosion, abrasion and/or corrosion in liquid media based on patented silicon carbide materials. Additionally, SICcast® offers the service of coating or repairing parts already damaged by erosion corrosion, abrasion and / or corrosion with the SICcast®-technology. The benefits of the SICcast®-technology are higher service lives in connection with much lower costs as compared to original new parts.

THE MATERIALS INHOUSE REPAIRS

Silicon carbide is the central part component of our abrasion- and corrosion-resilient materials.

Silicon carbide is an almost diamond-hard synthetic mineral that is industrially produced.
The decisive feature of silicon carbide is the concurrent resilience to corrosion and abrasion.

SICcast® material is produced by combining the silicon carbide with different binders.


SICcast® EP 135:

SICcast® EP 135 is produced using a hot-curing epoxy resin and silicon carbide. This castable silicon carbide is used for casting complex parts exposed to erosion corrosion, abrasion or corrosion in the pH-range 0 – 12. (component size up to 8,000 kg)


SICcastplus®:

The production of SICcastplus® uses different phenol and epoxy resins and silicon carbides. After casting in a form, the case and cured body becomes a SiSiC-ceramic part by pyrolysis and silication.


SIConit®:

SIConit® composites are produced using a cold-curing epoxy resin and silicon carbide. These silicon carbide composites are used for repairing and protecting surfaces exposed to erosion corrosion, abrasion or corrosion in the pH-range 0 – 12.


SIOSIC®:

SIOSIC® is produced using an inorganic silicate and chemically cleaned silicon carbide. This groutable high-temperature corrosion protection (ΔT = -150 °C to +900 °C) is used to protect surfaces exposed to erosion corrosion, abrasion or corrosion in the pH-range 0 – 14.
